DAY 01: ARRIVAL TO LIMA
Assistance is provided upon your arrival at Lima International Airport and transfer to your hotel. There, you will receive a tour briefing as well as other information about how to organize your Peru trip. Overnight in Lima. Meals included: None.
Day 02: LIMA CITY TOUR
Guided sightseeing tour of Lima, the "City of Kings“, the most attractive and essential landmarks. The tour begins in the residential districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, passing by the Huaca Pucllana, the ceremonial and administrative center of the Lima Culture erected in the II century A.C. that the Incas designated "Ñaupallaqta" or Sacred Town. We will also visit "El Olivar" park, which has olive trees brought from Spain in the XV century, the Central Park of Miraflores, and Larcomar, a symbol of modern Lima and a tourist and entertainment center, as well as a privileged location to enjoy an incredible view of the Pacific Ocean. Finally, we'll visit Lima's Historical Center, passing by Plaza San Martin, Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the City Hall, the Cathedral and its Religious Art Museum, and Lima's Colonial Balconies. Also, we‘ll visit the Convent and Church of San Francisco, the greatest monumental complex of Colonial Art in America and Cultural Heritage of Humanity. Overnight in Lima. DAY 03: LIMA – AREQUIPA
At convenient time, transfer to Lima airport to board your flight to Arequipa. At your arrival, welcome and transfer to your hotel. Rest and adapt to the weather. Overnight in Arequipa. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel
DAY 04: AREQUIPA – COLCA CANYON
Departure from Arequipa towards the town of Yura, passing through the slopes of the Chachani volcano, Pampa Arrieros. Our tour continues through the Pampa Cañahuas National Reserve, where we can appreciate a native animal of Perú, the“ vicuña“, whose wool is highly valued in the international market. We will continue along the town of Viscachani and Pampas de Troca, known for its diversity of bird species. Following the border of the Chucura crater, we will reach Patapampa (4,800 m.a.s.l), offering a panoramic view of the Andes and the surrounding volcanoes with views of Arequipa. Descending from there, we will arrive at the town of Chivay, where a delicious local lunch. Overnight in Colca. Meals Included: Breakfast and lunch
DAY 05: DAY 5: COLCA CANYON – AREQUIPA
Early in the morning, we will go to Cruz Del Condor (60 km from Chivay) where we can observe one of the most spectacular scenery of the canyon: the condors in majestic flight. From this point on, the valley narrows significantly, forming one of the deepest canyons in the world. We return visiting archaeological remains, pre-Inca agricultural terraces and other panoramic views of the Colca Canyon. Our route will take us through the villages of Pinchollo, Maca, Achoma, Yanque, and viewpoints such as Antahuilque and Choquetico. We stop in Chivay for lunch and continue the route of Patapampa (4800 m.a.s.l), along the way we can observe the Chucura and Huarancote volcanoes at a short distance. Also, we can admire the Ubinas, Misti, Chachani, Ampato, Sabancaya and Hualca Hualca. Passing through Pampas de Troca, we will have the opportunity to spot a variety of bird species. Return to Arequipa. Overnight in Arequipa. Meals: Breakfast and lunch
DAY 06: AREQUIPA – PUNO
At morning, transfer to Arequipa airport to board your flight to Puno. Upon your arrival, welcome and transfer to your hotel. On the way, we'll stop by the famed Chullpas of Sillustani, 12 m/40ft high stone cylinder burial chambers used by the Aymaras to bury their significant leaders. Lake Umayo, located in front of the Chullpas, enhances the attractiveness of the area. Here, you can also see wild guinea pigs, birds, and other local wildlife. Overnight in Puno. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel
DAY 07: UROS AND TAQUILE
At according time, we will begin our guided lakeside tour to the longest lake in the world the “Titicaca Lake” (3810 masl), located in the Altiplano. Then, we will visit the Uros Islands using small boats, this ethnic family lives in floating reed islands of totora. Continuing our exploration, we will proceed to Taquile Island (4040 masl), recognized for its impressive Andean landscapes adorned with numerous hills and archaeological sites. The island is famous for its weaving traditions, where intricate fabric designs reflect the locals' daily lives and cultural heritage. In the afternoon, we will return to Puno. Overnight in Puno. Meals: Breakfast and lunch
DAY 08: PUNO – CUSCO
At convenient time, transfer to Puno airport to board your flight to Cusco. At your arrival, welcome and transfer to your hotel. Rest and adapt to altitude. Overnight in Cusco. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel
DAY 09: CITY TOUR CUSCO
In the afternoon, take a guided sightseeing tour of the spectacular colonial city constructed on the foundations of Inca palaces. The tour begins with a visit to the main square, originally known as Huacaypata. The tour continue with the Cathedral and the Temple of the Sun, popularly known as Qoricancha. In addition, we will explore the 4 ruins around the city: the fortress of Sacsayhuaman, the ceremonial center of Qenqo, Tambomachay, and the fort of Puka Pukara. Overnight in Cusco. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel
DAY 10: SANCTUARY OF MACHU PICCHU
At a convenient time, transfer to train station in Poroy at a good time to catch your excursion train to Aguas Calientes. When you arrive in Aguas Calientes, your tour will begin with a 30-minute bus ride up a 6km winding road to the spectacular Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, commonly known as "The Lost City of the Incas". We'll have a guided tour of the Citadel, including the Main Plaza, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Sun Dial, the Royal Quarters, the Temple of the Three Windows, and numerous burial grounds. Then, we catch the bus back to Aguas Calientes. You will have a delicious buffet lunch at a neighborhood restaurant. After lunch, you will proceed to the train station and wait for your train ride back to Cusco. Overnight in Cusco. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel and buffet Lunch
DAY 11: FLIGHT TO LIMA
At a convenient time, transfer to Cusco Airport to take your flight to Lima and connect with return flight home. Meals Included: Breakfast at your hotel.
