Start your visit at the Tarawasi archaeological site, a potential astronomical observatory used by the Incas. Then head to the picturesque village of Chonta. The adventure begins with an impressive panoramic view of Chonta, situated 3,400 meters above sea level, alongside the majestic Salkantay and Humantay mountains. After approximately an hour and a half hike along a charming trail, we will reach the Condor Viewpoint. Here, you will enjoy an outdoor lunch while marveling at the spectacular view of the Apurímac Canyon and observing the majestic flight of the Andean condor in its natural habitat. This magnificent bird of prey, considered sacred by the Incas, is the largest soaring bird in the world. With luck, you may also spot other birds like eagles, hawks, and white-tailed deer. After exploring and enjoying this unique experience, we will return to the village of Chonta and then to the city of Cusco.
